Squaw Biking Trip

Last weekend Bri came to Provo and we went on an amazing biking adventure!! We drove my car with the bikes up to the top of Squaw Peak. We rode down the face of Squwa until we were a few miles below the look out point.

The colors of the trees and flowers were beautiful! We were riding fast downhill; red, orange, and yellow trees surrounded us and the trail was covered with leaves. The smell of fall reminded me of pumpkins, football games, corn mazes, and warm apple cider. The trail was slightly damp--making for the PERFECT riding conditions. My tires ripped through the damp ground sticking perfectly as the mud flew off my tires and freckled my entire body.

We rode back up the Bonneville Trail to the Squaw Peak Road where we took the downhill trail to Bridalveil Falls. As we were riding up we heard gun shots getting closer and closer. We got off our bikes and peered through the trees to see where the gun shots were coming from. We couldn't see them so I yelled,

"HI! PEOPLE SHOOTING GUNS! HI!"
"UM....WE ARE BIKING...DON"T SHOOT US!"
"PLEASE DON"T SHOOT US!"
"HI!"
"...UM...HELLO??!"
"PLEASE DON"T SHOOT US."

They heard us eventually and we rode by in safety. :)

The rest of the trail was beautiful. The Bonneville trail by Bridalveil Falls is a fast paced trail that rolls up and down all the way down the mountain. Several parts of the trail over look the canyon--all illuminated with beautiful fall colors.

Brian and I had a wonderful time. We love biking and we love being able to enjoy it together! I'm hoping the wonderful memories of this weekend will get me through this tough week with school and Bri being back in Logan.
